ladylovesmilktray · 10/04/2018 10:10

Just a gold and red WW logo on a gold chain over a black dress.

Help please!

Job is quirky/media related

If in doubt don’t.

TheDisreputableDog · 10/04/2018 10:11

Picture?

MaximumVolume · 10/04/2018 10:11

If I was interviewing you, I'd think it was cool but wouldn't mention it unless you got the job and then I might when you started!

ChasedByBees · 10/04/2018 10:12

I think only you can judge what it looks like, the message it sends and whether it goes with both the outfit and the industry, but Vlad’s advice is good.

Treaclepie19 · 10/04/2018 10:12

I would. People are either likely not to get it, not to care or to think it's cool. Good luck!

TheFlis12345 · 10/04/2018 10:13

I work in a similar industry and it would be fine here.

Treezabreeze · 10/04/2018 10:13

I think that's cool, and if people don't know what WW will mean then I suppose they will just think it's a pattern. If I was interviewing you I would say, nice touch!

MissDuke · 10/04/2018 10:14

Given that you are doubting it enough to come on here and ask - I would say no. You need to be really comfortable and confident - doubting your choice of accessories will not help!

MotherWol · 10/04/2018 10:15

If it's something like this I think that would probably be fine www.etsy.com/listing/495028943/wonder-woman-necklace-super-hero-jewelry

CircleofWillis · 10/04/2018 10:19

Ooh I love that mother.

SummerGold · 10/04/2018 10:24

I would, because of the industry Smile

SpoilsburyToastGirl · 10/04/2018 10:24

I think it's fine. I have recruited staff before and if j got the reference I'd have been subtly tickled/ impressed. As long as you don't look like a kid who has raided the dress up box and the rest of your outfit it professional then there's no problem.

TheyMostlyComeOutAtNightMostly · 10/04/2018 10:27

If it looks like that Etsy one then sure, go for it - it falls under the heading of “anyone who gets it will like it, anyone who doesn’t get it won’t notice”. I recruit for a very “straight” industry and it would make me smile.

The only slight worry is that some men might translate it as feminist=> troublemaker.

oohyoudevilyou · 10/04/2018 10:31

When I first read the question, I envisaged a red and blue cartoon-figure necklace, and thought "no". Having seen the photo, I'd say yes, no problem whatsoever.

ladylovesmilktray · 10/04/2018 10:32

men might translate it as feminist=> troublemaker.

^^ if they do then I wouldn’t want to work for the organisation.

Thanks everyone, I’m wearing it!! Here goes nothing...

I work in a similar industry and something like that would be well received.

MumofBoysx2 · 10/04/2018 10:33

If it felt right then you would be doing it with confidence, not asking on here. Go with your gut instinct, which is obviously unsure, and don't wear it. If you're worried about that it might make you feel less secure in the interview.

Lweji · 10/04/2018 10:38

I'll be surprised if they know what it means. Unless they are all into comics.

kaitlinktm · 10/04/2018 10:45

I would have assumed it was Weight Watchers. Wink Grin

Mightymucks · 10/04/2018 10:48

The only thing I would worry about is that it’s also VERY similar to some versions of the WWE logo (also two WWs) and wrestling fan is not a good look.

pigmcpigface · 10/04/2018 10:52

Good luck for your interview! If I were on your panel, it would make me grin.

CrustyCob · 10/04/2018 10:52

Sounds right for the industry, fingers crossed for you OP Smile

SaucyJack · 10/04/2018 10:53

Wonder Woman was one of the biggest films of 2017 Lweji. Even my 4 year old walks around with her arms in an X shape. They sell WW branded stuff in Asda.

Wear it if it looks good. Try to avoid looking like a kid in fancy dress- that's not hipster.

TomRavenscroft · 10/04/2018 10:54

men might translate it as feminist=> troublemaker.

^^ if they do then I wouldn’t want to work for the organisation.

Precisely!

Good luck, OP.

UpstartCrow · 10/04/2018 10:54

It sounds appropriate for the industry, good luck with your interview!
