I probably won't and just venting really.

Booked a last minute mine-break for us on Friday and he threw up during the night. I think it's too much chocolate and the excitement of the last few days - relatives visiting/lots of treats etc. Nothing too ridiculous but he does have form for throwing up after parties/during holidays etc. But it could be bug of course.

He's insisting he wants to still go. Flight at 12 but a two hour drive away so need to leave within the hour. No insurance (don't know if this would be covered anyway).

We have to cancel don't we Sad?

I'd go. If he's otherwise well this isn't 'vomiting', it is a single incident of throwing up. Could have been anything, but doesn't seem to be a vomiting bug.

If it was at night time it’s more likely to be a bug and if you get on a plane you will expose absolutely everyone. Don’t go.

Are you in the UK? If so it's presumably only a short flight as you're not going abroad, so that's another argument in favour of going.

No, don't go.

Nobody wants to sit on a plane with a contagious, vomiting child!

Stay at home - if he's sick he'll much prefer to stay in bed anyway.

WorldWideWanderer · 09/04/2018 07:59

Just go... You know your child and it probably is too much choclate/excitement, you will be upset to miss the holiday if all is well for the next few days.
I had children who were often sick due to other reasons, not tummy bugs, and if he himself still wants to go then he can't really be feeling that ill. A tummy bug and he'd not want to go anywhere or even crawl out of bed....

Check that you don't already have a policy through a bank account . If no temp or other signs of a virus Id say go.
