First you'll have triplets and then you'll have twins, you know.

I'd stop right there if I were you.

scatter there's been a lot of that all over those threads though hasn't there. "the police clearly aren't doing everything they can" sort of sentiments - how can we possibly know?

I do think the spelling needs to be changed, and I did find it a bit strange that someone would take a day off sick to arrange something like this that doesn't even involve theirs or someone they know's child, and I was deeply at the suggestion of looking at sites to try and find pictures... but I think essentially the idea comes from the right place, albeit it does need to be worded correctly and executed in the right way.

Yes that's what I meant with not disagreeing with the sentiment - blimey if it does some good that would be great - but I am a realist and a pedant to boot !

I am a realist too and tbh I dont think there will be good news either. but I would also like to think that if that was my child, there was someone out there who would feel it was important enough to try and find them, even if that meant they were no longer alive.

As a parent, I think I would rather know my child was dead, and be able to grieve, than not ever find out what had happened to them, and be faced with the images of what might be happening to them based on what's been printed in the media. And if a poster campagne leads to someone finding a body, then it will have worked in so much as that it will at least bring this family some kind of closure. something they may not get if this little girl is never found.

snort - we always ask dh if heis going to see the queen when he goes to London - and he goes every week - sometimes twice ! So far he has remained polite - not sure how long that will last though ! Caught him out last week though as he said "Yes" and we said "Nerrrr - she's in America !!"

Scatterbrain, I do now what you mean, but the criminologist on BBC last night said that 95% of these crimes are not solved by the police, they are solved by the public and if the public don't know, they can't help. I think all this is doing is circulating information a bit further and a bit wider.

(I refer to this comment by the way:

I didn't disagree with the sentiment - I just felt that it was a bit sort of "me me me - I can sort this out even though the rubbish police can't" iyswim.

Personally I think Interpol/Europol etc have already got this angle covered !

I'm not scatterbrain, I am just explaining why doing something might be a good idea. I don't want to argue either. I really don't.
