Hashtags on FB

Please tell me that I am not the only one who absolutely hates hashtags on FB?
The amount of people that I have unfollowed because of their bloody persistent stupid, pathetic hashtags.
Hashtags are for twitter! All this #feelingblessed, #mummyscleverlittlegirl, #hardlife, #bestietime nonsense is driving me doolally!

The # on Facebook means that it goes public. I used to think it was really cheesy and off putting but I now use it to raise awareness for my kids autism

It used to be a twitter thing but it proved so popular that other websites adopted it do YABU.

Raising awareness about something is fair enough but all the sickly hashtags are completely OTT

Sometimes it’s for Instagram

HarrietSchulenberg · 08/04/2018 00:25

#Hashtagsarelame whatever social media they're on.

FlirtyRomanticToast · 08/04/2018 00:25

#myopinionmatterstoo #socialmediaisthedevil #hashtagsareforlifenotjustfortwitter

Regingaphalange · 08/04/2018 00:26

Can I ask if the people who use it are close friends or family?

Redglitter · 08/04/2018 00:30

One of my colleagues uses it instead of just posting a status

Things like: #birthdayboy #familydinner #proudmum #18today #firstlegalpint #gorgeousfood

Why she can't just drop the bloody # and write a legible sentence I don't know
