Totally don’t like this and secretly wish I could have the guts to report them. Would you?

OP posts:
vjg13 · 07/04/2018 17:59

Is it definitely a pit bull and how do you know?

Wauden · 07/04/2018 17:59

Sometimes people pretend that a pit bull is a staffie.

EdmundCleverClogs · 07/04/2018 18:00

Are you going to clarify how you know it’s a pit bull rather than a staffie?

SweetMoon · 07/04/2018 18:00

Report anonymously op. They are a banned breed.

DextroDependant · 07/04/2018 18:01

Pitbulls and staffs look different. Both beautiful dogs but not that similar.

I hate people breeding any dogs, absolutkey no reason to at all so repirt them for that reason alone.

PennyPIckle · 07/04/2018 18:02

If it’s definately a pit bull report...

DextroDependant · 07/04/2018 18:03

Ignore me they look a lot more similar that I thought!

italiancortado · 07/04/2018 18:05

What idiots. Definitely report them. Are you sure they are pit bulls?

Frequency · 07/04/2018 18:06

Pitbull isn't a breed, it is a group of dogs, including staffies, so no, they don't look different.

In the UK, pitbull is a set of precise measurements. This is why banning them makes no sense. A lab could produce pitbull puppies if you go by the UK's definition of pitbull.

WeAllHaveWings · 07/04/2018 18:09

there are a few legal bull breeds that are regularly mistaken for pit bulls, if you know they are pit bulls they are breeding then do report as the dogs and their pups are highly likely to be abused and neglected.

otherwise they are just bad owners and backstreet breeders which no one with do anything about unless there is really serious neglect, abuse or the dogs are a danger/out of control. Sad

NutElla5x · 07/04/2018 18:13

Yes I would report them OP.Do it anonymously if you're,quite understandably, afraid of any repercussions, but please do it.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/04/2018 18:16

Please report. Even if they’re not pit bulls, a dog shouldn’t be caged for most of its life.

tiggersneverdie · 07/04/2018 18:19

I think if they are breeding these dogs for fighting then that is morally wicked. I also think that although Bull breeds are cute, they tend to have serious health issues. I do not believe they should be bred.

ForalltheSaints · 07/04/2018 18:20

Please report as others have suggested.

tiggersneverdie · 07/04/2018 18:21

BirdsGottaFly I know. Makes me Angry and Sad. How can people treat animals this way?

MeadowHay · 07/04/2018 18:23

Er am I the only one would be reporting this to the RSPCA first and foremost? A dog being kept outside, visibly distressed, in a cage? My first thought would be reporting to RSPCA. I would consider reporting to police if nothing came of reporting to RSPCA but the animals welfare is paramount.

Also, I'm very confused about the poster who said that none of the staffies in rescue can be rehomed with children. Erm, what? Loads of staffies are rehomed into families with children, it depends on the individual dog, just like loads of dogs of other breeds in rescues often can't be rehomed to families with children either, depending on the dog and their previous experiences.

BexConnor · 07/04/2018 18:24

I would report on the basis of the dog constantly caged, this is not a fair life for any dog, regardless of the breed.
IMO anybody who keeps an animal like this for the purposes of breeding it has neither the best interest of the parent nor its offspring in mind.

Mishappening · 07/04/2018 18:25

Just report it - let the police work out the exact breed.

What is there inside the skulls of these nitwits who keep these ghastly creatures?

Keilninnock · 07/04/2018 18:29

Apart from the obvious cruelty and the dubious morals around exploiting animals in this way, I see too many people on local FB selling sites who have multiple litters each year and sell pups for up to 2k each. Mostly vanity breeds.
Most are non working households yet are bringing in a good 30k a year tax free. It's tax evasion as well, surely?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 07/04/2018 18:31

How do you know they're a banned breed? Do report them purely because of the caged dog & backyard breeding though.

The problem is the RSPCA can't do a lot if it has food, water & shelter Meadow. While not what most people would call adequate housing, a cage could be classed as such if the dog has shelter from the elements. At least that was the response I got from them about a ndn's dog being left out in all weathers.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 07/04/2018 18:32

Yes Keilninnock it is.

rwalker · 07/04/2018 18:35

report it to be on safe side and let the experts decide. Cage outside all the time it's temperament will be horrendous irrespective of breed .Pit bulls can and do kill please report it

Carouselfish · 07/04/2018 18:39

Kept in cage outside, agitated. Fuckers. Report them.

Missingstreetlife · 07/04/2018 18:42
