It appears my constant joint pain and fatigue are related to my miscarriages, I have tested positive for APS and extremely low vitamin D. I’m having the test repeated to confirm the results, and I’ve been told this is likely the issue.

I’ve googled, read every page, asked many many questions about it. I’d like to actually hear from people who have it. What treatment are you on? How successful is it? Does it cause any problems? Literally nothing. Tell me about it from the perspective of someone who has this.

I have it. I've been told it is a likely cause of my miscarriages. Currently I inject fragmin and take aspirin (both as blood thinners) because my specific version of it is anticardiolipid, and my blood is basically a bit inclined to get clotty.

I didn't know it had links to joint pain and fatigue, which is interesting.

VioletteValentia · 06/04/2018 17:33

LRD do you inject daily? I’ve been told I’ll be on blood thinners, but it hasn’t been discussed exacrly what yet.

It is apparently. I’ve had particular issues with both of those since the birth of my first child, to the extent they thought I had rheumatoid arthritis at one point.

I had a blood clot after pregnancy. Take aspirin daily. Been told if I get pregnant again will have to inject heparin. No other problems.

I do, but that's because I'm currently TTC, not as a regular thing.

VioletteValentia · 06/04/2018 17:57

Do you have to take anything regularly or just ttc?

Well, I was diagnosed in the course of TTC, so it's a bit confusing, but I think regularly I don't have to take anything. It sounds as if mine is much less serious than yours, though!

VioletteValentia · 06/04/2018 19:11

I think mine is more symptomatic than some peoples because I know some have no symptoms. Must be horrible either way.

Very low vit d tends to go hand in hand with autoimmune diseases. I've been tested for APS due to other autoimmune diseases I have but was negative. I did have extremely low vit d though and felt like death.

VioletteValentia · 06/04/2018 20:39

Slutty I feel rubbish all the time, spaced out and tired. I thought I had CFS and was going to go to the GPs about it.

How long did it take to feel better?
