Another word for frigid...

Posting here for traffic, I probably should have posted this in relationships, so please be kind...

For years, NSTBExH used to tell me I was frigid. Except he didn't, he used another word. He also used to tell me I'm a slut. "I'm a 'synonym for frigid' slut" kind of became my black-humoured mantra for dealing with his mind-fucks, to remind me it's him, not me.

Not long ago, talking things through with a friend after yet another set of contradictory accusations by him, I went to use the "mantra" and I struggled to find the word. I did find it eventually and I just put not being able to remember a word down to being upset. But since then, it's gone. Totally. I can't remember it.

When it's on the tip of my tongue, it feels like it begins with an I. Maybe. And vaguely "medical". But maybe not.

Anyone got any ideas?

Most of these suggestions are "too nice". I think it was a word like frigid or moron, that are nasty insults now but were used medically in the past.

Prick tease

DairyisClosed · 06/04/2018 01:43

Frigid was the medical term. Have you tried urban dictionary?

steff13 · 06/04/2018 01:50

How can you be frigid and a slut?

RebelRogue · 06/04/2018 01:54

Sterile? Anaphrodisiac?

newnamenewnamenewname · 06/04/2018 01:58

Thanks, dairy. Yes, I have tried urban dictionary, and the thesaurus.

It might well be that I have just totally blocked it and the word is staring me in the face. Which is kind of why it is bothering me so much. Why would my mind block something out after I felt like I had dealt with it and moved forward? Confused

Up tight? Cold?

newnamenewnamenewname · 06/04/2018 02:14

steff you can't. That is why it became my mantra whenever I have low self esteem and doubt myself and feel like I can't do something because he made me believe that in the past.

This is keeping me awake! I like the idea of your oxymoronic mantra though.

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 06/04/2018 03:23

Just a thought, but maybe your mind is blocking you from remembering g that word for a reason, maybe it's shielding you from how the word makes you feel and how it mentally and emotionally affected you (whether you consiously knew it or not) each time you remember it and relive him saying it in your memory....

Faroutbrussel · 06/04/2018 03:53

Infertile - I know it's not remotely the same thing but I could think it could be used by a man and meant that way. Sory if it offends anyone.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 06/04/2018 07:17

Imbecile was a medical diagnosis in the past.

SerenDippitty · 06/04/2018 07:41

Barren..... but that means unable to conceive, but still kind of fits I suppose

No it really doesn’t.
