DH and I have been TTC for 18 months now and I've had two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy :( I know this isn't the place to ask but I tried in Conception a few days ago, didn't get many replies and now my situation has become even more confusing!

So this month we DTD on CD16 and 17 and I think I ovulated on CD18. My cycle is normally around 30 days, but on Monday, which was CD26, I had a little bit of brown spotting when I got up in the morning, then nothing all day. The same thing has happened every day since - a tiny bit in the morning, then nothing. I don't understand what's going on :( could this be implantation bleeding? I thought it was only meant to last 2 days max, but if this is my period, I don't understand why it's not getting heavier. Any advice or anyone who has had a similar experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

It could be hormones making everything a bit messed up, try not to worry, doesn't do you any good. X

Secretlifeofme · 05/04/2018 16:24

You're right, I know. I just need to take a test i think. Roll on Saturday!

Can I ask if anyone else has experienced implantation bleeding like this?

SaucyJane · 05/04/2018 16:28

I know it's impossible but as it could be either implantation bleeding or confused hormones, you're going to drive yourself mad if you can't relax for a couple of days Flowers

Even a test wouldn't be conclusive now - I didn't get either of my BFPs until I was several days late. Be kind to yourself and spoil yourself with whatever you can enjoy for the moment - delicious holiday food; sunbathing (vitamin D!); a beauty treatment or massage maybe.

Really sorry for what you've been through so far and really really hope you get your sticky BPF when you get home or very soon afterwards.

Thank you @SaucyJane for your kind and sensible words Flowers

Hi secretlifeofme TTC is such a head f**k isn't it! I read your post and was instantly transported back to January last year.

So I had two MCs one after the other and then a gap of I think two cycles and then I got pregnant with my now 6 month old daughter.

With the last pregnancy I started spotting a day or two after ovulation and spotted for over a week. I was so upset and convinced that my body was just a useless pile of junk and then lo and behold it turns out that I was pregnant and that my body does really weird and really long drawn out implantation bleeding! With the previous MCs I'd also had implantation bleeding, one really quite heavy but I have a suspicion that was ectopic anyway.

You know what it's so tough and I think the problem with pregnancy is that literally any symptom can be either a yay or a nay for pregnancy.

Try and enjoy the rest of your holiday and not think about it too much (ahahahah!)

Wishing you all the best :)

Thank you @GoodJobShesCute. Sorry for your losses and congratulations on your daughter :) that is an encouraging story for me! The thing is I just want to know :( what if I do a test and it's negative, but AF still doesn't arrive - should I give up hope?

OP posts:
GoodJobShesCute · 05/04/2018 17:13

Never give up hope! You'll be disappointed if you give up hope and get proven right or don't give up hope and get proven wrong so I say keep hoping!

If this isn't the cycle to be then it will be another cycle and a little way down the line you'll be holding your baby and see someone post about their TTC struggles and will remember what you went through. Hang on in there. Sending a virtual hug!

It's morning here and again I had a bit of pinky brown blood when I wiped :( don't know what's going on with this on-off bleeding but it's very annoying!

OP posts:
SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 06/04/2018 04:18

Mine was the same. I didn't have a clue what was going on! Try not to let it stress you out and enjoy the rest of your break Flowers

Secretlifeofme · 06/04/2018 07:19

@SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace, thanks for reassuring me. Can I ask, how long did your bleeding last? This is the 5th day now for me :(

Update - it's 6pm here and I just tested and got BFN :( however, I think it was pretty pointless as my wee was almost clear after drinking loads today. Going to try again in the morning. In the meantime, anyone else with any similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Flowers

I had implantation bleed with my pregnancy for my ds but my 2 miscarriages i just missed my period. Hopefully it will be a bfp for you. I would test in the mornings wee.

Secretlifeofme · 08/04/2018 16:31

Ah thank you @AllNamesTakenhell. I did test the next morning but still BFN. Going to the docs tomorrow to see what's going on.

Got a negative blood test at docs :( she was very good, did an ultrasound and said my uterus lining was thick so I probably just haven't had the dip in progesterone that triggers your period yet. She gave me progesterone tablets to take for 5 days and then when I stop taking them it will trigger my period. I feel comforted that at least my uterine lining is normal for this point in my cycle and that now I know what's going on I can move on :)

Can anyone help me here guys.. I have been on the pre conception tablet for 2 months now "seven seas Trying for a baby" and Monday 1st Oct I started getting mild cramps and went to the toilet wiped and saw brown discharge I throught I started my periods and got a sanitary pad later on that night I noticed black stretchy period on my pads. And yesterday it was brown. I did a bit of research on Internet it said its implantation bleeding and implantation bleeding is black, brown pink and light red. Then today I started experiencing normal menstryal flow but it isn't heavy just normal. No blood clots like I get in my normal menstrual cycle. I haven't even been getting severe abdominal cramps like I do when I'm on my period. I did a pregnancy test those £1 you goes from B&M 4 days ago and it was negative. Can anyone give ma advise here if I should go and see a nurse. I'm getting mild abdominal cramps

Isabellexo · 11/11/2018 16:24

Very sorry to hear about your loss.

I have heard mixed views about IB, some hardly notice , max a few hours, others 5 days of light bleeding with a delayed positive. It's cruel but as everyone is different we need to keep testing or wait for heavier period bleed.

I have been ttc and have been spotting for 4 days now. Only when I wipe and it's very dark red or brown in colour, it doesn't flow. My usual period is extremely heavy changing pads every couple hours first 2 days.
I am having no period pains but still spotting so I'm putting this down to a strange early period (spotting started 6 days before af due).

Any advice much appreciated if you bel8evr I am wrong, a little scared to test as I'm still spotting would hate for false hope
