Work men are blocking me in and I’ve got three weeks of this shit

I live at the bottom of a T junction on an estate so the roads are not very big. The road which directly leads away from the house is complexly blocked with metal fence. Leaving basically one lane.

Then vans have parked on my side - on the curb directly either side of my drive way so I have no room to swing my car out. Even when the vans are not there it’s a nightmare as I’m terrified I’m going to scratch my car on my gate posts as it’s so tight manoeuvring in.

A fucking generator is chugging away ALL night.

Dd3 had a bad night which means I had a bad night. I have PMT.

Dd2 has two more weeks off school

I feel a bit stabby this morning.

I’ve been out and just got back!

I went out this morning and the neighbours were out. One of them was spitting about the generator Grin

Site manager said security guard must have turned it on and it will be turned off tonight

I asked to move the vans and it was done promptly and politely ✅

However from Wednesday onwards the whole road is being blocked off so the can build a new fickin pylon with a crane 👺

Site manager was very nice and said he will do his best not to completely block us in but in reality I can’t see that happening.

We do have a tiny car park in front of our houses. Our drive is to the side of the house. There are four houses. He said that will not be blocked off.

There are six spaces for cars, two in front of ours, next door and next door but one, the four house is on a corner facing towards car park, with a large drive but can not enter if his next door (my next door but one) take their two spaces. We have a van in one of our spaces. Our two every day cars go on our drive, so every one kind of parks one down so end neighbour can get in.

My self, ND and NDBO have two cars. We already have parking wars Sad

DH is a complete stubborn arse when it comes to parking (and upsetting the neighbours) we actually have another car coming next week that we have a cross over of about two weeks before DH car gets sold.

We will have four vehicles and space for two if our drive gets blocked in Blush

I feel your pain, we've recently had noisy road works going on till 3am on 3 separate occasions to finish resurfacing. The last time an old lady stood in the middle of the road and refused to move in protest until the police were called Grin
