This list of conditions to tell the DVLA

Ok I know, it’s from the detail trail, but the list of conditions we should be telling the DVLA about.....

Really? I don’t feel like I should have told them about my anxiety because I don’t drive if I’m anxious- putting myself behind the wheel would not be good.

It lists depression, cancer, aspergers.... so so many conditions.

Thoughts please people.

I never knew the list was so exhaustive!

Interestingly lists anorexia and eating disorders separately but not bulimia

Insurers usually ask of you have a DVLA noticeable condition and whether DVLA are aware and whether there are any restrictions.

You do have to tell your insurers. They ask you if you have any health conditions the DVLA knows about or should know about. Usually just before or after they ask if you have any convictions etc.

Insurance companies are not allowed to discriminate against those with health conditions, but IME they do.

If your anxiety does not affect your driving, you do not have to tell the DVLA. It's up to you whether or not you give up, though; personally I wouldn't!

Very reasonable. All of them can affect driving ability.
