am watching the voice, only 2 mins in and he's annoyed me already

as for Jennifer Hudson, I wouldn't get tired of slapping her

5 mins of this is enough

He seems lovely! He came across as loveable and bonkers in that documentary.

MistressDeeCee · 01/04/2018 23:07

I couldn't stand his persona from what I saw. But I went to the very 1st recording of the voice. Me & OH were a little late so walking thru a hallway and he walked past and stopped to chat. OH knew who he was - I didn't, just kept thinking 'he looks familiar'. He was in no way as up himself as certain others were on that day. Good n bad days I suppose but I bet there are many 'stars' who wouldn't give you the time of day much less greet you 1st

Starlight2345 · 01/04/2018 23:10

My son has ADHD and he is a great role model to him. Makes him see what he can be.

MrsMaxwell · 01/04/2018 23:13

He should come out.

Verbena37 · 01/04/2018 23:16

I think the seemingly showy off thing is actually more shyness.
He is very passionate about stuff. Any guy who respects his mum and Aunty like he does is a dude in my book.

honeyroar · 01/04/2018 23:18

Rubyhay 🙄 "Lol" I'm cabin crew and he was on my flight, so I worked with him for several hours. I'd have preferred to have been sweeping a stage, I would have got away from his lack of manners quicker. Hes not on my list of nice stars.

ChoccyJules · 01/04/2018 23:18

I like when he talks about his family, he seems a caring person.
I did get annoyed during the Lumley documentary when we saw him arrive home au naturel ie hatless then one of his staff realised and they went into a room and he came out all styled with a hat. As usual. That made me feel it was all about the image.

wellalrighty · 01/04/2018 23:27

As someone who has ADHD, I really appreciate seeing successful people with the same condition. Yep, folks with ADHD can be annoyingly energetic, full of ideas and thoughts, easily distracted, and get focused on one thing at the expense of everything else...but they can't help that!

scotchpie · 01/04/2018 23:36

I think he is fab, he has ADHD which explain how lively he is.

Lots for charity too

biscuitmillionaire · 01/04/2018 23:55

I've liked him since I saw that documentary about him with Joanna Lumley, where he talks about having ADHD. On the Voice he can come across as a bit egotistical.

Jennifer H has grown on me. DD and I do a great 'Here at J-Hud Productions' impression Grin

Absolutely loathe and detest Olly Murs. I cannot understand how he has had any success at all - he has an average voice, not much stage presence. Most of the contestants sing better than him.

Big mistake of the producers not to have any rock musicians as judges this year. Missing Ricky W too.

Vickylou78 · 02/04/2018 00:02

He does so much for charity and for young people in deprived areas, he does science tech research and development for young people. He’s written and produced some amazing music tracks. He’s a bit random but seems harmless. Honestly google him ... there is a lot more to him than you think

Earslaps · 02/04/2018 00:15

He does have adhd but he has annoyed a lot of ADHDers by saying parents who medicate their adhd kids are lazy and should just do activities with them instead.

My ds has adhd and we tried so much at home to help him. We decided to try medication as he was struggling still and it has made such a difference at school- you can see in his school book when he started his medication! The difference in his work is amazing. But we don't see a difference at home as he only takes it school days and it's worn off by the time he gets back.

So for that I dislike Will.i.am

MerryInthechelseahotel · 02/04/2018 00:33

I used to really like him. Then someone I knew went on the voice. She said he was rude he was always on his phone he never spoke but when he did he was curt. She said Tom was by far the nicest and most genuine. She really liked Jennifer too.

MyOtherProfile · 02/04/2018 04:23

I think that once you realise he has ADHD he makes a lot more sense.

This. I think he's bonkers socially buy seems like a good bloke and is a true philanthropist. Can't bear his music but then I'm not really his target age group. He's clearly a clever bloke who gets lots of good done.

BishopBrennansArse · 02/04/2018 13:25

@MerryInthechelseahotel that's consistent with someone with autism. If I'm overwhelmed the phone comes out.

sameoldsame · 02/04/2018 13:30

I think anyone who has become that famous is going to have annoying traits
He’s probably got hundreds of people around him telling him he’s fantastic
I would challenge anyone to stay grounded in that situation
I think he comes across as fundamentally good
I know a lot of people who haven’t achieved anything close and are still aresholes!!!

Bexter801 · 02/04/2018 13:31

Besides being an idiot, anyone else notice, out of the 4 judges,he's by far the worst singer.....like I'm shocked at how bad is singing actually is

NerrSnerr · 02/04/2018 13:37

I don’t think Will.I.Am has ever claimed to be a great singer. He’s made most of this money through writing and producing.

Bexter801 · 02/04/2018 13:39

@NerrSnerr good point, never thought of it that way....

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 02/04/2018 13:42

I've worked with him. He was a dick

Kept everyone waiting for him and his entourage. Seriously pushing our shoot over time and budget. i could tell you the utterly insane reason why he couldn't be bothered to get there on time but it would out me.

Tom Jones on the other hand is an utter gentleman. Seriously lovely to everyone. (And he didn't have an entourage just his son who's his manager who was also lovely)

PavlovianLunge · 02/04/2018 13:48

So basically he behaves well sometimes and behaves badly sometimes. Sounds like most people to me.

And I don’t think a ‘total dick’ would support charities to the extent that he does. The fact that he donates (and always has donated) his Voice income to charity makes me love him more than a little bit.

ThankYouGillian · 02/04/2018 14:23

Honey roar - I completely agree with you. Not pleasant at all. And this was very, very recent........ That said, we were wondering if he was on the spectrum. I don't think that really explains or excuses the behaviour though. And I do have experience of ASDs.
