To tell DH to V.I.Poo?

Just that, really.

Absolutely disgusting, I know. But hopefully if you're sensitive, the thread title made you steer clear.

DH is incredibly unpleasant on the loo and I think these things are fab (The V.I.Poo) sprays.

I even keep one in my handbag now.

I haven't actually asked him to use it every time.

AIBU? Yes I know this is his home too but as it's mine also, I don't want the loo unpleasant to be in Envy

I'm very clean and tidy but I think this may just be common curtesy now?

Sorry if it's not, I'm asking in AIBU because sometimes I don't know how reasonable my requests are!

I am still baffled that was a bridge dweller it went on for a long time

In danger of making it a TAAT but did something happen that made people suspicious

FleurDelacoeur · 30/03/2018 15:49

Just tell him to open the bloody window.

Spraying chemicals around is never the answer, barring real medical issues. Harmful to the environment, waste of money.

Starchime22 · 30/03/2018 15:55

VIPoo is just essential oils, not ‘nasty chemicals’

WombOfOnesOwn · 30/03/2018 16:01

How would it end up in the water system? Do people think you pour it down the bowl?

Lucisky · 30/03/2018 16:09

WombOfOnesOwn - I've never used it, but surely that's what you do with it, I mean, how else would you use it? The mind boggles. I hope no one is drinking it!

Gottokondo · 30/03/2018 16:14

In olden days men lit a match after using the loo. A bit friendlier for the envirement.

TheMaddHugger · 30/03/2018 16:17

@NaughtToThreeSadOnions That one is still going in Classics

TakeMeToTheFresh · 30/03/2018 16:24

The match idea sounds great, I love the smell of matches!

Opening windows doesn't really do anything for him.

I'm honestly getting really stressed lately about his back passage. He's constantly farting and they're absolutely disgusting.

He insists it's normal but I've never known anyone to fart that much and it to smell so bad.

What has V.I.POO got in it that isn't in an ordinary air freshener?

Boooom · 30/03/2018 16:26

Essential oils are chemicals too!

FleurDelacoeur · 30/03/2018 16:31

You are kidding yourself if you think it's just essential oils.

I loathe and detest air fresheners, they all smell artificial, and cloying and disgusting. What you need to get rid of a smell in a bathroom is an open window or an extractor fan. Not to replace one bad smell with an equally awful artificial chemically one.

TheMaddHugger · 30/03/2018 16:32

@TakeMeToTheFreshget some probiotics to sort his insides. And et him to take some charcoal tablets [health food shop] I will help unless it is a Medical issue.

Good Luck and (((((Hugs))))
Im off to attempt sleep. 2am here in oz

To tell DH to V.I.Poo?
twinone · 30/03/2018 16:37

£5 Shock
I wouldn't entertain it at half that price.

Can you not just wait until the smell has dispersed before you use the loo?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 30/03/2018 16:40

@madhugger oh thanks i thought it had been deleted my mistake i shall go and xatch up then lol

NecklessMumster · 30/03/2018 16:41

I have always used incense sticks but prob not good for environment either

johnthepong · 30/03/2018 16:41

I had most of my small intestine removed and my poo smells worse tHan anything on this planet. When I've had to poo at work, as a last resort, site staff are called and staff talk about the phantom pooer. As you can imagine this gives me great anxiety and VIpoo enables me to poo at work. Opening windows/ matches / air freshener doesn't work for me.

DangerEgg · 30/03/2018 16:49

I bought it for DP, it lasts for ages and ages. Do it.

well you learn something everyday. For the uninitiated, you spray VIPoo onto the water in the toilet bowl BEFORE you go, then you do the , so that the VIPoo liquid/ film has trapped the smell in the loo/ under the water. Then you flush. So yes the chemical absolutely is in the water. It's not a room spray as I assumed.
OP: For goodness sake there are so many chemicals in the environment just get him to open the window for five minutes. I mean, how often does he go a day??

DangerEgg · 30/03/2018 16:51

It's not air freshener. You use it before, spray on in the bowl and it traps the smell. Read the Amazon reviews.

DangerEgg · 30/03/2018 16:51

Cross post!

BettyBettyBetty · 30/03/2018 16:59

I love the stuff. Force him to use it. iGNORE EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS THREAD!

PigletJohn · 30/03/2018 17:05

Why are you opposed to extractor fans?

HappyEverIftar · 30/03/2018 17:06

Just looked this up, interesting.

Which fragrance to mn-ers recommend?

ginghamstarfish · 30/03/2018 17:11

Lots of stuff has those ingredients ... perfume, soap, face creams, shower gel, etc. It's all going down the drains, so what's the difference if this saves stinking the house out? Yes, we should all be using natural products .. but we don't (mostly).
