To be relieved that the Worboys parole decision has been overturned

Hopefully, the new ruling will give additional clarity on what the parole board should take into account when making its decisions.

I realise that in some circles in incorruptibility of people with qualifications is a given: they're chartered psychologists! Of course they aren't influenced by mere money. But back in the real world, the idea that possession of a professional qualification absolves you from conscious and unconscious bias is laughable. The medical profession wants it both ways: they claim that psychologists can write reports on manipulative rapists for money while remaining disinterested, while when the topic turns to antibiotic over-prescribing the excuse is that innocent GPs are bullied into writing inappropriate prescriptions by random mums in the surgery who insist on getting pills for little Johnny's cold. If GPs are being bullied into writing prescriptions by worried mothers, it hardly seems a stretch to think that psychologists are similarly vulnerable to doing the wrong thing. Especially as Worboys is rather more practiced at this shit.
