Please kind people, share with me your tips to help with a kidney infection Sad I go on holidays tomorrow and can’t deal with travelling whilst in this discomfort/pain. Anyone got some good tips?? Don’t have time to visit GP...

Get a 2 litre bottle of liquid and sit on the toilet. Keep drinking then peeing. You might be on there a while but it will eventually pass the infection out.

if you get a fever then it's has got worse and you will need antibiotics but otherwise, just drink and pee.

I ended up in hospital with a kidney infection I did not get seen to quick enough, the kidney never recovered and I had to have it out a year later as it kept getting infected.
I know this is worse case that could happen but kidney infections are not to be messed with

Caramelchomp no it won't. Dangerous advice, especially if kidney infection rather than urine infection. They can get worse very quickly and make you very unwell.

Cranberry juice is a waste of time of kidney infections.

Call OOH GP now.

If you feel ok/not too bad then probably not kidney infection as the pain on a scale of 1 to 10 is often described as 13+. Only solution is Dr and if kidneys then antibiotics

Not necessarily last time I was hospitalised with a kidney infection I didn't feel too bad at all. Pain was around a 6. I was in hospital for a fortnight
