Posting for traffic. What’s the trick in letting the games of a narcissistic go over your head?

Vague I know. But it has to be... it’s not a partner but a family member and genrerally others?

Well they will always get on your nerves in one way or another, otherwise there would be something wrong with you. Best thing to do is disengage/NC or low contact I.e. don’t play their game

Remind yourself they r only being this way to compensate for the v deep down sense they hold of them self as useless/ugly/worthless or whatever the opppsite is that is presenting as their narcissism.

It's sometimes called "grey rock", basically you give out as little info as possible and try to be really dull. They will get disinterested.
An important thing though is to never be dependent on them for anything, as they would use it to draw you into their drama.

Be really boring.
Take care not to be too nice or too friendly or too polite in the face of their rudeness / tantrums etc.
Don't share your stories with them or anyone who shares with them.
Google 'Grey rock'.
Be as detached as possible. Don't get involved.
'Smile & wave' (or ignore).
Limit contact or go 'no contact'.
Boundaries. Boundaries. Boundaries.
Stop caring what they think of you.
Know you don't owe them anything.

Use phrases like, "As you know..." which politely but directly calls them out.
Choose in favour of having a peaceful, harmonious and happy life.
Educate yourself about it - there's loads online.

Have a look at Richard Grannon on YouTube. Lots of good advice.

Emotionally and practically detach yourself as much as possible. Have firm boundaries. Try not to engage Google 'grey rock'.
