Aargh! Baby knocked the phone!

I had a tricky start with illness and a readmission to hospital but it’s all settled.

However, I can’t get anything done. The baby won’t sleep without being held, he’s very colicky so needs lots of walking and bouncing etc. About all I manage is dropping and collecting my older son from school, a few loads of washing and that’s it.

I don’t remember it being like this before - my first son slept in the day and would happily sit in his chair whilst I did a few bits.

Is this normal? When will it change? I feel so useless.

Sounds normal to me. A MN classic but do you have a sling? A newborn is a crisis situation so just go with survival for now.

Totally normal! Enjoy your newborn cuddles , the housework isn't going anywhere Grin

I have got one but can’t use it yet as section isn’t well enough healed and SPD hasn’t improved enough. Definitely an option for in a few weeks though!
