I usually start my Christmas shopping with the Toys 'r' Us summer sale in August, making the most of their online bargains! Actually, this year I did buy cards and some other seasonal bits in the post-Xmas sales & put them up in the loft with the decorations. Wonder if I will remember they are there come December?

NoodleStroodle · 09/05/2007 16:51

I don't expect to see this thread again until begining of December.

Is that understood?!

maisemor · 09/05/2007 16:56

Has Santa not been good to you past Christmases NoodleStroodle

NoodleStroodle · 09/05/2007 16:58

Santa has been very good in the past but it is only May - we have the whole of lovely summer and beautiful autumn to get through and then - only THEN - is it Christmas.

Also we have two birthdays at the begining of December so we have those first and then start on Christmas.

I heard that Angel...

I am considering booking a child friendly holiday in the uk for over christmas. Anyone know any nice places to go with children?

UCM · 09/05/2007 17:07

Bubble, I agree actually. Was in Poundland today and literally thought, oooo that would be good as a stocking filler.

I would much rather buy bits every month than get clobbered with Decembers pay packet. Perhaps some of you save. I do pay my CB into a savings account, but wouldn't get it out for Christmas Presents, new washing machine or freezer maybe....

I have also decided to cut down. Last year I wasted loads of money on DS, 3, the present he liked the best was the sword which went 'durrrrring' from Poundland, so much so that when it broke, DH sat their for 3 hours with his soldering iron doing 'stuff' to fix it. They didn't have any more or I would have bought another.

Thomas Aquadraw has been played with 'once' and I think that cost me 30 fecking quid. The 30.00 scooter has been hijacked by next door as DS doesn't go on it, and the wooden train set is up in the loft as DS wasn't interested in it, another 30.00, never again.

UCM · 09/05/2007 17:08

there even

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 09/05/2007 17:31

UnquietDad · 09/05/2007 17:33

I am considering leaving the bloody country for Christmas.

NoodleStroodle · 09/05/2007 17:35

Looks like will have to leave country before Christmas...starting now?

kimi · 09/05/2007 17:35

Not for a month or two yet Bubble99

Marne · 09/05/2007 17:39

Dd1 is already asking for things for christmas

I love xmas but i try and hold off planning/buying until after the summer
We put money back each week (which i forget to do most weeks) then its not such a blow at xmas.

Cammelia · 10/05/2007 15:43
