I don't know if I'm overreacting. I was waiting for my driving instructor. It was evening, at around 6. He came and when I got in the car he said "it is dangerous waiting on street corners. Getting into a car with a strange man. The neighbourhood will be talking about you." I'm not sure how I feel about this. It was probably a joke, but it made me feel uncomfortable. What do you reckon?

You wouldn't have coped with my instructor. Total letchworth, married many times and had 12 kids (more wives and kids followed). He was disgusting.

This was many years ago, too many really, but one day he asked why I always wore trousers and kept putting his hands all over my leg. I wasn't too confident back then and felt panicky.

Was waiting for a bus to pass before doing the reverse around a corner, and I pulled the keys out of the ignition, got out of the car and legged it as fast as I could and jumped on the bus.

When I got home the police came, to take me to the police station regarding theft of keys. When I told them what happened they said he deserved it and as long as I posted the keys back they weren't intending charging me. They asked where I left him and the car, they grinned and went and stuck a parking ticket on for parking too close to a junction. Bit of karma there.

Get a new instructor if he makes you feel bad.

Not everyone has seen the joke actually, a few posters have asked

Even if I don't find something funny I can see if it's a joke or not

Male driving instructors can be creepy. My one thought teenage girls in thier uniforms were trying to tempt him. Sick bastard. I switched to a female instructor.
