Well, no, that is because my wonderful dh can only sleep at night, knowing that he has provided for his family after his death. Him being a nice, unselfish, sane person and all that.

Orm, the guy on the next drip to dh was really happy today because the doctor had got enough money to give him six weeks more treatment.

Words cannot express how fucking angry this man makes me.

So this guy is seeking monetary compensation to prevent it happening to other people? Sure....

I heard this on Jeremy Vine and thought of your dh too, MB. I'm afraid I switched the radio off before the man had finished whining...erm..speaking because I just couldn't believe someone would be so un-bloody-grateful.

I saw this and was speechless ! The fact that the guy not only 'spent all of his money' but also stopped paying his mortgage at diagnosis was his own stupid fault. serves him bloody right if he loses everything financially.

I do sympathise with him at the trauma and distress he must've experienced at receiving such a horrific diagnosis and then being told he'd got his life back, so to speak, but to be so financially irresponsible is entirely his own look-out.

similar story was in local press here a few months ago, made dh very mad. bloke whining because he had gotton his life back.

I reckon he also got money for the story which made me because he must know that other people (with cancer, or relatives of) would get to read it.

My 3 year old little boy died of cancer last June - I daydreamed about being told that someone had got it wrong - I would have been over the moon.

We spent one night in that hospital in Cornwall with my son - we were on holiday and became unwell, so we had to take him in. They really were so kind and helpful.

Thanks..he was a complete star - a happy, gorgeous little boy who was seriously tough and never complained, unlike that old moaner.

I may tell dh about this when he gets home...he can visualise the old git when he goes on the punchbag - hope that makes you feel better!!
