To distance myself from these mums

I’m going to have to keep this quite vague I’m afraid but just looking for a general idea of how others see this.

A school mum has recently posted on Facebook an incident that took place between her DD and a classmate. No name but not difficult to figure out who it involves. The incident is nothing serious, just something very petty and minor. A few mums reply with sympathetic ‘how awful Hun,my DD know better’ included a friend of mine.

It really hasn’t sat well with me. I don’t think it’s fair to air it on Facebook especially when it’s little kids involved. It’s made me reasses my friendship and I don’t particularly want to socialise with someone who thinks this type of thing’s ok.

Well I personally wouldn't stay friends with people who bang on about the minutiae of their lives on facebook OR who call each other 'hun'.

Time for new classier friends perhaps?

Yes hun,I quite agree 😄

It is shitty behaviour isn’t it. I’m not sure how to go about breaking away from here. Make excuses when she asks to meet up or tell the truth? Our children our friends and I don’t want my child to end up being gossiped about on Facebook.
