To think mothers usually get moaned at more than fathers?

If a child misbehaves, the mother gets the blame. If a child doesn't go to the dentist/doctor, etc. the mother gets the blame. If the house is messy, the mother is blamed. If the mother doesn't go to A+E/doctor with they get much more stick than if the dad doesn't go. If the mum works, they get moaned at for leaving the baby. Has anyone else noticed this? It's annoying af. The list is endless really. I've really really noticed it a lot this month.

I would go further and say that women are moaned at more than men.

Sadlyenough, I find that it is often other women doing the moaning.

Agree with Persian.

Often the ignorant assumptions come from men but the harsh criticism tends to come from other women in my experience.

True, it really is mainly other women moaning about other women. With those women claiming how "that's men for ya" and other comments that excuse that behaviour. Had my dad making similar comments this month though and explained how he didn't do those things and got told how "mums are closer to their children than dads" I just couldn't even be bothered to engage. I'm not as close to my dad but it's definitely not because of the difference in genitals.

I suppose part of that might depend on your dad's age and how things were in the past.

But the women at my local primary declaring things like, "Poor little mite, her mum never turns up to nativity plays/sports day/parents evening" etc, make me want to scream "Yes, but what about their dad??"

Yep mothers get moaned at way more than fathers
