To think I’ve fonally lost the plot re puppy toilet training

Was tempted to name change but will brace it.
My little pup is completely refusing to go to the loo outside. I go out every hour with him, I’ve tried a pee post etc. He’s got to the point where he will lie down at the door threshold and not go out.

Anyway - my aibu is not regarding how to toilet train a puppy - it’s regarding the crazy lengths I have gone to...

So yesterday after yet another failed attempt I was sitting on the loo and had a “brainwave”. I grabbed a bottle and collected my “sample” if you will - decanted into an empty spray can and sprayed on the Pee post... Aibu to think that I’ve lost the plot!

what’s the best stuff to get rid of wee accidents? I have those scented floor wipes which I use after blotting with loo roll.

My 3yo chi still pisses on the floor if it’s too cold or too wet. Fussy little mare.

I find that actually walking them on a lead even if in the garden helps

papaya you're better off going to the pet shop and buying something that has enzymes in it like urine-off.

They are usually pretty good

I wish I had the magic answer. All of my dogs but one was fabulous at training but this one dog grrr. You can of had her out for hours and within 10 minutes of coming in she had been toilet. She’s not even a pup anymore or a small breed, has no problem with toileting her bed then laying in it. I decided shes just a bit of a lazy dirty sod. I still keep trying and we can get a random day or two where I jump for joy yay she’s finally got it then nope back to square one despite no change in routine.
