Sat having Sunday lunch today in a village pub with my DH & 3 DCs. Behind my husband was a family of four, two boys of about 7 and 3 with Mum and Dad. I took little interest in this family and got on with eating my own lunch, at least until I happened to look up to see the Mum digging around in her nostril with her little finger, followed by the other nostril before finally sticking aforementioned finger in her mouth and eating the treasure she had unearthed.

She was scrolling through her phone at the time, so I tried to mentally excuse it under the guise of her being distracted. Then I calculated the amount of times I’ve ever picked my nose and eaten it whilst being on my phone and came up with zero. It was gross.

I'd have found it difficult to keep my lunch down. Even a quick glance would be enough to make me feel sick.

Why on earth start a thread about such a trivial incident? Virtue signalling much?

Meh, will only take some lifestyle guru to do some woo marketing on it and then suddenly everyone will have always been raking and eating their bogeys before it was common knowledge ....
