DD has managed to find a sharpie and draw all over the sofa!! Any tips on how to remove? Will a boil wash get it out?

Sharpies are the work of the devil (in the hands of children anyway) A year ago MIL turned up on a visit with a colouring book and a bulging pencil case as a gift for DS (6).
I wasn’t really paying attention, busy preparing lunch and said “lovely, go and colour us in a nice picture”
And DS did, at our beautiful beech wood, inlaid coffee table. He got small pen marks, various colours on the table. The pencil case had THIRTY sharpies of every imaginable colour in it. I confiscated them as soon as I realised. Nothing we tried got the pen marks off... I ended up sanding the whole table Sad.

Still, on the bright side, I now have a lifetime supply of sharpie laundry markers Hmm
