To think 'Save Me' is the best thing on tv this year

It's gripping, well written, the characters and dialogue is so convincing and every single actor is brilliant. Harrowing subject but so well done. Hope the ending doesn't ruin it!

We loved it then were hugely disappointed by the ending. I want to know what the deal was with the husband and the son? They were dodgy AF then nothing...

Meant to add that having a booze up and karaoke with your ex whilst your child is missing, isn’t very believable. Lennie was great and normally Suranne is too but not for this show she wasn’t, Happy Valley had me gripped in the first 10mins and I got goosebumps watching that, I couldn’t wait for the end of Save Me, yet was thoroughly disappointed, anything to commission a second series.

Glad there is a thread on this! I hated it though, thought it was a massive cliche from start to finish.

Lennie James’ character was just awful, no mark to daughter obsessed in 5 mins. The whole thing was utterly unbelievable, no ones reactions were believable at all.

What happened to the husbands dodgy dealings? What was the point in that?!

I was really looking forward to this as I normally enjoy anything that Suranne Jones does but this wasn't good.

It was too drawn out and I agree that Suranne was wrong for the role; her accent was all over the place. How anyone couldn't see that the club owners might be dodgy is beyond me.

I'm also tired of seeing yet another program about a missing child. We've seen it all so many times before and portrayed so much better than this was.

I agree about the ending too.

I really wanted to like it but felt let down and like I'd wasted a lot of time watching.

Loved this.

I get easily lost and I'm happy to overlook/ don't see many of the things some of you have criticised.

I am really hoping that there will be a second series.

Thought it was gripping. Particularly Lennie James.
