Are you on Dialysis

Hi, posting here for traffic.

I am just wondering if any of you are on Dialysis 3 times a week, and if you miss a session how often you miss them, what are your reasons for missing them.

I am asking for my DD, her dad is on Dialysis and he misses a fair few sessions, but this results in bad health and he becomes to unwell to see her. She is now on week 3 of not seeing him.
When she gets cross at him for not going to Dialysis and keeping himself as healthy as possible his reply is 'well, yes but it is hard'
Is it 'normal' for patients to miss regularly?

It makes sense, but sometimes children need to be told that they are children. That whether or not they feel that they are grown up enough to deal with something, they aren't, and that it is our job to make those decisions/choices/conversations and not theirs.

Her Dad is making choices and decisions that go way beyond the reasoning ability of many adults, let alone a 10 year old. If you let her try to reason with him and he continues to be non-compliant, the only conclusion she will draw is that she wasn't good enough to make him want to get better. That is too much of a burden for a 10 year old.
