FFS, the 2 sisters have disappeared now, and that annoying bint with a sad haircut, a massive skirt, and hideous tie & dye top has come back, regaling us with a wanky tale of when she used to go shopping (when she was 10 y.o.) with her gran.

Apparently her gran used to turn her plastic carrier bags inside out when she was shopping in another shop to her usual one (as she wanted to appear loyal to them!)

Bit dumb anyway, as when this woman - on the ad - was 10 (which would have been the 1950's probably as she is about 70 now,) nobody used plastic bags for shopping. Confused Even when I was a kid (1970's) my parents used reusable hard vinyl shopping bags. I don't recall anyone using plastic bags for their shopping in the UK til the late 1980's.

Nationwide ads all need to burn in hell.

Here's the wanky one I am on about, but they're all shit.

I really like the sisters. They are comedians and very funny.

SouthWestmom · 20/03/2018 18:47

Su and moonshine that is such a terrible advert. Saw it last night and was just wtf😵

reallybadidea · 20/03/2018 18:49

I quite like the sisters and their singing. Better than lots of shitty adverts.

sunandmoonshine · 20/03/2018 18:49

It is an awful ad isn't it???

Oddly I don't loathe the 2 sisters, (Flo and Joan,) but I do think the ads are a bit naff. I think away from the ads they are probably OK.

EggysMom · 20/03/2018 18:51

I like to imagine that the two sisters actually hate each other now but, because they tied up a deal with Nationwide for (say) a dozen songs/adverts before they fell out, they are now forced to keep up the pretence of being best buds ...

SouthWestmom · 20/03/2018 18:53

Like the Oasis of the banking world?

I like the singing sisters. They make me smile.

JugglingMummyof2 · 20/03/2018 19:19

I really like them and let's be honest, can we not all relate to the words in this advert.

Petalflowers · 20/03/2018 19:23

Wasn’t sure at first, but have grown to like them.

sunandmoonshine · 20/03/2018 19:26

@that1950smum

That song is cute! (my family...) Grin

llangennith · 20/03/2018 19:33

Stupid advert. I mute them.
