To not want anything for Mother's Day?

A bit of fun really. DH has gone shopping with DS for my
Mother's Day gift, I know, it's supposed to be a surprise Hmm. He's asked me if there's anything in particular i want, I can't think of one thing!

If you could ask for anything (from a shop) what would you ask for?!

I said socks or handcream when asked but we are going out for lunch with my Mum tomorrow too

Undercoverbanana · 10/03/2018 15:24

We’ve all got so much “stuff” haven’t we?

I’m going to my Mum’s tomorrow for a cuppa. DD is at Uni so better not be wasting money on tat. A text would be lovely though. DS is NC so nothing happening there.

DH is cooking a roast beef dinner tomorrow (my favourite) and he'll probably get up with DD so I can have a lie in. That's good enough for me Smile
I tell him not to bother with cards as I think they're a bit of a waste of money but he always does anyway.

I want things for MD.

DH is cooking me a roast tomorrow and my favourite dessert. But I do want a present too.

Oysterbabe · 10/03/2018 15:28

My DD painted a plant pot for me at nursery and it has a pansy in it. It's perfect.

Figgygal · 10/03/2018 16:27

Lethal yup pretty much I'm not religious but see the societal value in Christmas. I have too much stuff already and don't need tat with supermarket dictated trends or colour schemes on it and not fussed about flowers either.

Same with valentines and Easter cards commercialised bollocks

Lethaldrizzle · 10/03/2018 16:41

Yeah bloody giving gifts and shit to people to make them happy! Ban it I say!

HelenaJustina · 10/03/2018 16:46

I’m really easy on Mother’s Day, homemade cards, some daffodils and DC being nice to me (as in, no nagging, whining, fighting etc)!

HelenaJustina · 10/03/2018 16:47

Anything else is a bonus but unexpected!

Marmite27 · 10/03/2018 16:48

I’ve asked for a hive light bulb and some daffodils.

An amazon parcel arrived this morning, and the daffs were procured at Sainsbury’s this morning and reluctantly handed over by the toddler who wanted to keep them.

CheeseAndBeans · 10/03/2018 17:06

My DD4 went out with her dad today and came back with some daffodils. I expect they got me a card and a box of my favorite chocolates too. Standard practice here!
She painted me a picture at nursery yesterday which was lovely.
If I could have anything, it would be a lay in. But OH is working tomorrow so that won’t happen! Going for lunch with my sister and her kids - she’s single so will be nice to do something together.
