We brought the avent natural ones..
Got home yesterday and baby couldn't suck enough. Tried next size teats but then was sick.
She's just taken one of the pre made ones u take to the hospital which has a flatter softer, smaller teat.. And it's gone down well..
So gonna send dp out for different bottles

Ive seen NUK first ones.. Are these good.. Thinking they are anti colic and the teats look similar to the pre made ones. And that the rubber isn't so hard iyswim?.
If not any others.. We have a mothercare and John Lewis so hopefully one will stock xx

Morning! We used Mam bottles as the teat was very similar to the pre-made aptimal bottles. Mam are also anti-colic bottles.

I hope you find one your LO likes

Thank you will send dp tomorrow.. X

MAM here too - they’ve been great!

QuilliamCakespeare · 10/03/2018 02:40

My bf baby will only use Mimbie bottles. They're designed to be shaped like a nipple so your newborn might find them a more natural shape? The teats are softer than others I've used (I have a drawer full of time tipper ones he won't touch!).

QuilliamCakespeare · 10/03/2018 02:41

Tommee tippee!

Pooshweens · 10/03/2018 02:43

Had exactly the same problem and baby would only take mam

Onedaylikethi5 · 10/03/2018 03:48

We loved MAM here too, get the self sterilising anti colic ones.

justkeeponsmiling · 10/03/2018 04:26

I'm a neonatal nurse and we find the teats most like the ones on the ready made bottles which are like the ones we use on the unit are the ones that come with the cheap bottles you get in the supermarkets or pound shops, they usually cost £1 or £2. They tend to be softer that branded ones. Failing those I would definitely say a MAM bottle. Most of out babies don't get on with Avent or Tomee Tippee.

minniemummy0 · 10/03/2018 04:28

I use Tommee Tippee and Dr Browns now baby is older. However when she was born I only had three Mam bottles I had got in various free offers (I had intended to breastfeed but she screamed at the breast and wouldn’t latch on). She took to these perfectly so another vote for these. When she was only a little older I tried other bottles (as she had reflux and was trying to find something that helped) and she took any I tried really.

Marnie182 · 10/03/2018 05:49

Another vote for MAM here. Anti colic self sterilising. Never looked back once we used those.

Situp · 10/03/2018 05:54

Definitely MAM. They also self steralise in the microwave which is awesome!

ElephantsYeah · 10/03/2018 06:52

My ds liked the cheapo ones from Tesco and boots. Hated everything else. Maybe start cheap?

Sausagema · 10/03/2018 06:55

I was away to say the exact same as justkeepon. Go for the cheap ones just now.

MaryShelley1818 · 10/03/2018 06:58

Yet another vote for MaM anti colic bottles

Freddiesgirl · 10/03/2018 07:12

We were in hospital for a while and nurses recommended the NUK first choice plus latex ones which have been fab, but we have to replace the teats regularly which is expensive

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 10/03/2018 14:38

Thanks. After I wrote this she took two bottles today with avent.. Maybe it was just the mucous that wasnt helping. Will keep an eye if not go thro your recommendations xx

I tried just about every bottle you could imagine and as a last attempt tried Dr Browns and the difference was unbelievable. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny.

SleepyHeadThisTime · 10/03/2018 15:10

I bought two f the cheapest Tesco ones in an emergency after struggling with breastfeeding to begin with - the tests on them were much softer than Avent
