He tries to make words when he burps. He can't just burp like normal people, he has to burp out words like arse or arsehole, or even just the word burp!!! Petty yes, annoying extremely.
Oh and talking whilst yawning makes me want to throat punch him too.
Please tell me it's not just me who has an annoying partner like this (ps we've been married 23 years and I love him dearly despite these failures) 😂

Duck

Me too dh and all the kids can and I can’t.

Dh once farted 10 Times consecutively. We are both 50 and it made us crack up.

I yawn while talking doesn’t everyone? Smile

Dozer · 08/03/2018 19:10

My father does stuff like this, was mortified for years growing up, and not impressed when he repeatedly encouraged the DC to copy him. Urgh.

Theresasmayshoes11 · 08/03/2018 19:14

My father always used to fart just once in front of my successive boy friends but only wen mum was not there and he would ignore it and keep talking.

All my previous boyfriends were mortified and embaressed except one at 18 who laughed and spat out his tea. I married that one.

LakieLady · 08/03/2018 19:20

DH says "bollocks" when he burps and it really pisses me off, because I can't do it. No matter how hard I try, I cannot vocalise and burp at the same time.

I find it amusing. Ditto loud farting. And most toilet humour, when I think about it.

My sense of humour must have stopped developing when I was about 6.

TITANIUMPINS · 08/03/2018 19:27

I sympathise my DH doesnt make words but exagerated sounds lilke a loud bessup also farts all the time. TBH it has turned me right off him he disgusts me as well as wanting to throat punch him OBVS!!!!!

Sweetfa22 · 08/03/2018 23:54

Yes I married him in the throws of youthdom lol. He's amazing in every other way but these horrible habits are getting worse. Don't get me wrong, we both applaud a tremendous fart, esp if it's a really long one, but the burps just do my nut in Confused.

I can’t burp but find DH’s “ coke burps” hilarious! We are both like a couple of kids with farting too. However, I reckon it’s all down to respecting your partner so if you really want him to stop, he should stop

Sweetfa22 · 09/03/2018 07:38

@tigercub50 if only. I've told him more than once that it annoys me but he keeps doing it. Guess I'm just getting more grumpy in my old age lol

Your not alone. My husband does this and I hate it. Makes me very angry. If I did it he would go mad. So childish Angry

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 09/03/2018 09:48

I love your update about applauding a ‘tremendous fart’ Grin

Can you cultivate an ear piercing shriek or something that you can do to redress the balance?

ChevalierTialys · 11/03/2018 17:59

This irritates the hell out of me. But that's possibly because I am incapable.

DP and DSD can do some pretty impressive burpnastics. I can't. Remains to be seen if DS develops the 'talent'.

ALongHardWinter · 11/03/2018 19:25

Does he also say 'Arsenal' when he sneezes? Grin

ALongHardWinter · 11/03/2018 19:26

You should really worry when he starts making his farts sound like words.

Leeds2 · 11/03/2018 19:49

It really wouldn't amuse me. And I wouldn't want to live with someone who thought it was funny. It isn't. Do appreciate that others obviously have different opinions!

Jaygee61 · 11/03/2018 20:12

In stitches at this thread. DH can burp I can’t - not at home anyway. I’ve been taken by surprise when out in public once or twice.

DammitPatrice · 11/03/2018 20:16

If you can't appreciate a good burp or fart - ideally delivered with what Kenneth Williams described as 'alarming ferocity' - life must be very dull indeed.

arrrrghhwinehelpswithteens · 12/03/2018 07:59

I can’t burp or fart on command. DD can do both. And do very long drawn out burps.

I, on the other hand, can sneeze so hard that it should register on the richter scale. The neighbours have been known to text ‘bless you’. From inside their house. When I’m in mine.

Summerlovin24 · 13/03/2018 15:33

Does a weird swallowing thing when talking. Its becoming more frequent and really pisses me off. Dont get me started on the loud eating. ...😐

Kitchenbound · 13/03/2018 16:05

Uuuugh the yawn talk! I can't understand a single damn word you're saying you eejit stop flipping talking! Yawn recover and then talk! I feel your throat punch pain. Every damn day 😒
