To think that this accusation about the Sunday Times is pretty disturbing.

Hacking & "fishing" against public & private figures on a massive scale, allegedly.

If it's true, certainly. The ST seem to be pretty robust about refuting it but I'd have a nagging doubt about anything to do with the Murdoch press.

VaguelyAware · 07/03/2018 11:48

I know - I would be cautious about accepting anything like this on face value. However I don't imagine that the man involved would have been stupid enough to publish, nor would the BBC have picked it up, without seeing some kind of proof.

I imagine a lot of massive scandals are / were disbelieved at first.

The Sunday Times has not refuted anything. They have said it's not true. Refuting requires evidence.

Do you really think there's a journalist in the country who wouldn't do anything they think that can get away with to get a good story?

Wow. Can't tell you how offensive that is.

Doesn’t really surprise me tbh. The whole Millie Dowler incident shows how low some journalists will go.
