I've only made a couple of posts here, asking genuine questions, and on all of them and ones I've read - at least a few MN users would accuse the OP of trolling, or asking if the OP is joking, or just giving snarky responses in general. How is anyone supposed to get advice on here if there are seasoned MN users that are ready on a hair trigger to dismiss posts for trolling, or for asking difficult/different questions?

Paoty I don’t like troll hunting really, I think people should quietly report however long term MNers do develop a reasonably good troll-dar.

It can be frustrating to see other MNers giving of their time/sharing their stories with someone who is a fairly obvious troll or a gf.

During the U.K. daytime I’m pretty quick to report. At this time of night (evening here for me) I’m more like to post something a little more sceptical or challenging while trying to avoid active troll hunting.
