@AbsolutelyCorking (and others)

"Sexual assualt"

"pervy"

"big red flag"

"pushing his luck"

"[didn't] ask for consent"

They were having a snog for fucks sake. This is definitely a Mumsnet vs real life thread where MN posters seem to be slowly losing their grip on reality.

It's up to you whether you want to see him again OP. I think that by cultural norms, a hand on the bum during a "steamy snog" makes you a little prudish but not wrong to not enjoy it.

Is there anything wrong with him finding you sexually attractive and letting you know?

velouria · 07/03/2018 01:35

How the actual fuck is he pushing his luck? They are having a steamy make out session, has no woman ever went for the crotch area first? Is having a sneaky feel pushing my luck? Should everyone sign a form in triplicate before trying to escalate a sexual encounter.

theftbyfinding · 07/03/2018 01:49

No wonder there hits are way down on Mumsnet. 'Red Flags, Assault, Consent?!! FFS. Wake up.

theftbyfinding · 07/03/2018 01:56

It's AliceThroughTheLookingGlass!

He sounds rude and disrespectful, sleazy too. He needs to ask for permission to touch you intimately. If he squeezed your bottom without asking and you did not consent to it and did not like it, it’s sexual assault FFS!

BeastInView · 07/03/2018 02:22

Assault. Good grief. Tongues were in mouths so a hand on the arse can hardly be classified as assault. She even says she enjoyed it at the time, it's only on reflection she's doubting herself.

OlennasWimple · 07/03/2018 02:22

Anyway...

If you enjoyed it - and enthusiastically - consented at the time, why are you concerned now? Do you think he will think you are easy, or something?

Walkingdeadfangirl · 07/03/2018 03:08

The man had a penis, therefore it is definitely an assault. Would be different if it was a woman, but in this case it was a man therefore by default they are a criminal.

JanDough · 07/03/2018 03:17

@Walkingdeadfangirl

They are the 'oppressive sex' Grin

Pengggwn · 07/03/2018 05:45

Can we all stop saying 'steamy snog'? Some of us have nausea in the mornings. Confused

Helsingborg · 07/03/2018 06:56

If you're having a steamy snog then hands exploring other parts of the body is a natural progression. If you're not comfortable with that then don't have a steamy snog on the first date. Quite simple really.

Frustratedboarder · 07/03/2018 12:52

Annoys the Absolute Fuck out of me when my own bloody DP squeezes my butt like a piece of bloody meat so you are totally NBU..... Angry

SleepingStandingUp · 07/03/2018 13:29

What if you were having a steamy snog Frustrated?

Bluntness100 · 07/03/2018 13:33

You were both drunk, on a first date, were snogging and he felt your arse twice during said snog and you liked it. Seems fairly harmless to me, I can't see the issue here or why you're now bothered by it when you weren't at the time.

Bluntness100 · 07/03/2018 13:34

Sexual assault 🤣🤣🤣

BeastInView · 07/03/2018 13:36

I fancy a steamy snog right now.

liz70 · 07/03/2018 13:37

You're happy for him to ram his tongue down your throat and mingle saliva only a few hours after first meeting, but you're bothered about his hand on your (presumably) clothed bottom? I'd say the tonsil tennis was far more intimate. Confused

Bettyfood · 07/03/2018 13:43

I wasn't saying to report him for assault but just be slightly wary, in terms of the "pushing his luck" comment. Put it this way, I'd not meet him other than in a public place for the next date.

Bluntness100 · 07/03/2018 13:45

Op, you can rest assured what ever level Of prudishness you have, Betty beats you hands down.

It's fairly normal to feel someone's arse during a steamy snog.

Ever had one Betty?

JanDough · 07/03/2018 14:21

@Bettyfood

"I wasn't saying to report him for assault" - no, that was someone else, unless you're using a few different names on the same thread!

"I'd not meet him other than in a public place for the next date."

A genuine LOL from me. Touched your arse during a steamy snog and now you shouldn't trust him in private; I assume the implication being he's a rapist.

Are you real? A misogynist troll pretending to be a woman and deliberately acting ridiculously?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 07/03/2018 14:27

Sexual assault Shock and you weren't joking. Fucking hell this place is crazy right now.
