In thinking that mil could have been a bit nicer

Ok, dd (5) asked me yesterday if nanny would make her some biscuits, the kind that she made at Christmas so I said we could call her up later and ask her. We call later and nanny isn't in so we ask grandad to pass the message on. Mil just called and speaks to dh. Dh asks if his dad told her about dd calling and the biscuits. Mil laughs and asks if dh told her she'll have to wait until Christmas. Erm am I missing something here? They are visiting on sunday and although I didn't expect her to make them for then (would have been nice but didn't expect it) I thought she might have said she'd make them for the next time we saw them. This is the woman that LOVES baking and makes all food from scratch, bakes bread now and again, cakes, etc but she won't make her grand daughter some biscuits

I'll make some with dd and we do bake but these are biscuits that mil makes every year and I think is an Austrian or German recipe (mil is austrian and german). Dd loves these biscuits and so does ds1, not even an offer to make different sorts either if those bisctuits were seen as just special Christmas ones. can't see why she couldn't make a few biscuits

So am I being unreasonable in thinking she could have made dd the biscuits?
