To think I'm never going to get a job

I'm desperately trying to apply for a new job, I've applied for 100s and not even one interview. I'm applying to similar jobs as I'm currently doing. I don't know if the problem is just me or my CV/ application(s) and I certainly don't know how to fix it. Feel really down about it all tbh.

Don't underestimate the power of a punchy cover letter or email. Detail why you are perfect for the job just a couple of key points, don't make it too long but enough for them to want to open your CV and consider you.
When competition for jobs is fierce you want to make an immediate impact, sometimes that can mean before the CV is even read.
Good luck Flowers

Could you teach?

I do a lot of recruiting. It always makes a good impression if you write that you really want to do that job (accounts assistant, customer services champion etc) or that you would love to work for that company and give a reason (love their products, have heard great things from other staff).

If you do struggle with words, what about an accounts role? Also and I know this sounds off beat but funeral firms need help in the office too and I'm not sure they bave queues of people. They need kind, understanding people to take calls.

All good ideas raindrops thanks. I know it's a cheeky ask but is there anyone here willing to do a 2 min check of my Cv if I sent it them? Just to check for any really obvious formatting errors or what have you?

I’d happily look at your CV - I work in Finance and get involved with a lot of recruitment for our admin and customer facing staff.

Thanks merry that's kind of you. I will send if you when the kids give me a second. If you don't mind?

Of course not. I’ll look out for it.
