If you earn £20-£25K (Outside of London)

If you earn around that amount, for FT work, can I ask what you do? I currently earn £21k pro rata, as I'm part time. I have 'A' levels but no degree. Extensive admin experience, some management experience.

I'm thinking about a complete job change. I'm 49. I love helping people and would say I have a very caring, sympathetic nature, but don't want to do caring/nursing. For info, I'm a single parent with a disabled adult daughter.

Any ideas appreciated.

Civil servant... Without giving too much away my pay band is junior management, my role is technical support for IT and other things of a technical nature.

My qualifications are A-levels, advanced modern apprenticeship in engineering, and an HNC.

Analytical scientist at a pharmaceutical company. £25k. That's in the northwest and with 5 years experience. So far I've had a pay rise every year. I started as a graduate on 20k. I used to do accounts admin but went to university as a mature student because I wanted a career change.

Assistant merchandiser, south west. No staff to manage. Requires a mathsy brain and advanced excel skills. I have a few years experience and a non-relevant languages degree.
