Ex Husband and luggage

I posted this elsewhere but I'm reposting here for traffic.

Basically I bought new luggage last year and my kids use it when they go on holiday with their dad. He takes them abroad several times a year and I noticed after the last trip that the luggage is ripped. Obviously it was bought to used but by us when I go away with them. I've only used it twice last year and it was perfect. AIBU to ask him to replace it? He loathes me anyway

I think you will just need to chalk it up then. You don't know if ex h knew and your daughter did and didn't tell you. You could have tried to claim for them if you had known at the time.
