licensed clothing like Fifi and Thomas the Tank Engine? DS is always being given this stuff by DH's relatives.

Not only do they look horrid, they usually smell very chemically from the plastic transfers.

I feel as DS's parent, it is my role to guide him towards good taste in clothing! And therefore to not allow him to wear such awful stuff.

I loathe winnie the pooh clothing, very often ruins an otherwise nice item of clothing.

hoolagirl · 03/05/2007 18:51

Its part of being a kid to wear the branded clothing.
Its also part of being a kid to be ritually humiliated by dodgy clothes. Think of the photo's you'll have for blackmail when he's 18
Just off to put DS's bob the builder pyjamas on.

most young children live these clothes. my sons loved anything with super heros and my daughter loved barbie.

They wouldnt be seen dead in them now at ages 13,11 and 9.

I think you worry to much about things that dont relly matter.

WinkyWinkola · 03/05/2007 18:57

Erm, not really worried about it per se. [hmmm]

I was just wondering if it were only me who likes nice clothes considering how much of this stuff must shift in the shops.

I really hate how it looks and have banned such t-shirts from my house.

We do compromise by allowing character pyjamas occasionally - at least I don't have to look at them all day.

Haven't noticed chemically smell but the transfers do wash really badly and end up hard and uncomfortable.
