To think that been woken up at 6:00am every Thursday constitutes a nuisance?

Because the noise pollution officer from the council thinks that as its only once a week "it may not be a nuisance".

But its been every week for the last 18months and I'm sick of the tosser Cleanaway lorry driver picking up industrial wheelie bins at that time in the morning.

Im calling for the cat then, it wakes me up at 5am every morning, and don't even get me started on DS !

Ladymuck · 03/05/2007 18:46

Our domestic binmen sometimes come at that time - hadn't really thought about them being a nuisance tbh.

Twinkie1 · 03/05/2007 18:47

So DS waking me everyday at 5.45 could constitute a nuisance!!

So you get to sleep after 6am every day except Thursdays? Oh how lovely.

FrayedKnot · 03/05/2007 18:48

Ours often come about 6.30, but the milkman would already have woken me at 6 anyway, his milkfloat hsa seen better days and we live on a hill.

hoolagirl · 03/05/2007 18:48

I agree it would be annoying, but I would expect that it would be part and parcel of everyday living tbh.

YABU.

They're doing a job, and maybe it's at that time because it's too difficult to do it any later in the day?

OK, its official - I am turning into my mother who writes to the local newspaper on a regular basis maning about everything.

She has actually rung up the dairy and managed to get the milkman stopped from driving his milkfloat into the close as it was waking her up. He now has to walk up the close.

Frayedknot - maybe you could demand your milkman push his old float up the hill

LOL stripey knickers.
Our milkman comes as early as 4am and usually knowck the bottles over

monkeytrousers · 03/05/2007 18:55

Turn it into a positive by going to bed early the night before and going for an arly jog or walk when you wake up - espesh in the summer. Don't expect you to do that BTW

iota · 03/05/2007 18:57

our milkman comes at about 4.30 am - I sometimes wake up then - doesn't bother me really - as others have said the cat is more of a problem - coming in at 4 am . prey dangling from his mouth and blood curdling victory yowls
