To think people that dislike kids eat for free are mean

My brother is saying he boycotts anywhere where the kids eat for free as he feels like he's paying extra as an adult for other people's kids to eat for free.

I love kids eat free. It lets me know which restaurants to avoid!

This was about a hotel breakfast and there was no where else nearby, so he ate hummus and pitta in his room. Just seems miserable

We once walked out of a kids ear free place because despite having a whole area of the restaurant free they would only sit us in the middle of loads of tables with kids.

That's a standard lunch for me *PurpleDaisies with carrot sticks. I have never seen anyone eat Houmous and pitta for breakfast.
But I am a traditional coffee and toast type.

Well they are covering the cost of the child's food from their other takings so he is right. Not eating with your family and choosing to eat in your room is a bit odd though.

The types of places which offer kids eat free or kids eat for £1 are your Bella Italia, Frankie and Bennies, Giraffe, Beefeater.

Not the sort of place I'd choose for a nice meal out as an adult dining with other adults, they are very much family places.

I wouldn't like to try Houmous for breakfast because of the garlic element more than anything.

If it is the breakfast you can buy with a Travelodge it has always seemed pretty poor value unless you have children with you. Especially if he is someone who only wants a small breakfast.

I avoid places where kids eat free. They will be noisy with food thrown round on the floor. Yuck.

I, even with kids, avoid kids eat for free places. There so loud and not nice to eat in.

If there was nowhere else nearby I would have driven further afield I think.

I agree with your brother. We stayed in a Premier Inn with a single relative. He paid the seem as we did for the room but his was really poky and our kids has a free breakfast too.
He wasn't bothered but I would understand if he was annoyed.

If I have kids with me, then kids eat free places are great. If I am with adults then it's easy to avoid them. It's win win for all concerned surely? Adults with other adults can choose to go elsewhere, and the families are all subsidising each other.

Premier Inn breakfasts are only really good value if you have dc with you. In his shoes I would've gone to Wetherspoons for brekkie rather than pita and hummus in the room which does seem a bit miserable.
