There is one girl in DD's class who has has had an extreme case of headlice for months now, DD says that agaisnt her dark hair you can see hundreds of eggs as well as scabs all around her neck and the girl is constantly scratching.
DD was friends with her but has started playing and sitting with others at lunch and break, purely because of her nits and other children are now following. As much as I dont want my DD to leave someone out for somehing that is not their fault and I dont want this to become a bullying issue, I wouldnt want to sit next to someone who clearly had nits so can't force dd to do this same, I would also prefer to avoid another infestation.
This has been the case since before christmas, we have a letter every few weeks asking to check our children but this girls parents are obviously not doing anything about it.
WIBU to go and talk to the teacher about this? And can they do anymore than sending out the headlice letters anyway?
