To want to hire a cleaner just for company

This is an odd one. I have the same day off work each week and the only thing I have to do on this day is take DS to school, come home, clean, eat, pick him up, come back and feed DS and wait for DP to come home. DP comes home about an hour after DS and I do.
I need to clean on this day because I don’t have a lot of time during the rest of the week to get it done properly. That and I genuinely don’t have anything else to do between the hours of 9am-5pm.
I’ve rung DP in a huff today because I wanted someone to talk to but he’s busy at work.
Nobody ever visits me at home and I don’t have anyone I can invite over or go out for lunch with. Everyone I’m friends with or family lives really far away.
Today I was considering getting a cleaner to come on my day off just so each week I can clean with them and sit down and have a cup of tea but then I realised they might think I’m a sad nutter and run away!
I’m just really lonely on my days off!

I can’t believe that in London there is no one needing a volunteer to do something. All the school round us are crying out for volunteers to listen to readers, help with clubs, do pta stuff. Age concern is always on the look out for people to sit with lonely old folk for an hour. There are several meet up groups on different days for different generations to share a coffee together.

Have a look on community boards and other notice boards. If our small town has these things, the capital city surely has similar schemes going on.

I have a cleaner because my health can be variable. If it's good, we often clean together. There's always plenty to be done. And she always gets a tea break.
