Will it kill me?
What’s the best way to do it?

Help, I am hungry, fat and lazy.

I've regularly eaten reheated KFC (day old, refrigerated), never had any problems. I bung it in my airfryer to heat through.

Wotrewelookinat · 22/02/2018 13:55

I know not the point of your post but YABU for buying chicken from KFC in the first place. Cheap, low welfare chicken. Please buy free range where the chickens aren’t breed, housed and slaughtered on an industrial scale.

Chowmum · 22/02/2018 13:56

You've probably eaten it by now, but we regularly cook KFC in the oven. It's amazing how much extra fat you get off doing that.

Just cook it thoroughly. You can also bung the chips in. (Although if you stick them in with the chicken, they'll soak up the fat that comes off the chicken - may or may not be a benefit.)

Not dead yet.

PS this presumes it's been in the fridge, not languishing on a coffee table in the living room since Monday.

mommybunny · 22/02/2018 13:56

I want fried chicken now.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 14:04

I’m actually still lying in bed just thinking about it Grin

Told you I was lazy

snewsname · 22/02/2018 14:07

I wouldn't personally.

Nannyplumssillyoldelf · 22/02/2018 14:14

I've not long reheated some leftover KFC for Ds. It was in the microwave and heated until it was piping hot so I'm sure it will be fine.

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/02/2018 14:15

So you’re one of the buggers that managed to get chicken. There were no large and extra large chickens in my supermarket yesterday. I had to buy 2 mediums instead. You’ve got them, haven’t you? I’ll blame dhl this time but don’t let it happen again! Wink

DollyMcDolly · 22/02/2018 14:25

I eat reheated KFC all the time.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 14:27

Ive decided to go to the pub, to make the chicken extra tasty

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 22/02/2018 14:44

Yes, until it's piping hot. Do the skewer test.

italiancortado · 22/02/2018 14:57

I wouldn't. It's bad enough 'fresh' let alone cooled and heated

Chowmum · 22/02/2018 15:04

The only things we've never re-heated are wraps (well, you know, lettuce) and we don't eat the burgers.

Gravy - put it in a little oven proof dish, cover with foil
Corn - remove the plastic, wrap in foil
All chicken pieces - stick on a metal tray
Chips - metal tray

Always in the oven, not a microwave.

TBH, most of it tastes better re-cooked, and we rarely eat it hot out of the oven KFC fryer.

And we're not eating it every week, for any overanxious MNers that are worried about our terrible diets.

danTDM · 22/02/2018 15:10

yuk
KFC Envy not envious

RabbityMcRabbit · 22/02/2018 15:12

I wouldn't ever re-heat chicken but then I'm really funny about re-heating poultry

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 16:02

Well I’ve just stuck it in the oven. Will let you know how it goes Grin

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 16:21

I lived in new Zealand and there it's not uncommon to see passengers queued for the Pacific islands loaded with big buckets. No kfc on the islands but much loved. Either they have iron stomachs or a little bit of food poisoning is no deterrent.

daydreamnation · 22/02/2018 17:47

I wouldn't bother reheating it, pop it in the bin and spend the time you would have spent eating it on educating yourself a bit, on what a truly depressing and hideous place KFC is (in every respect) Sad

catfishsally · 22/02/2018 17:54

I'm a chicken feen so I would and I will accept the diarrhea as punishment

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 18:35

Knock yourself out then.
Personally my appetite will never be wet by the thought of eating chicken from a creature that has its beak cut off at birth. Humans eh? Confused

FranticallyPeaceful · 22/02/2018 20:45

We’ve put it in a curry next day before

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/02/2018 20:47

day

Then why come onto a thread about kfc? Seems a bit stupid.
