to think there is a plague of phone zombies out there?

Okay a plague is an exaggeration, but I had not one but two phone zombies walk out into the road in front of me this morning while driving to work, and its only a 15 min commute!

Seriously people, you know that moment when you feel yourself fall slightly forward? That's you stepping off the curb. That is the moment to switch your focus from whatever life-alteringly exciting tweet you are engaged in, and pay attention to the life threatening process of walking into moving traffic without looking....

Hell yes little and others.

Texting and driving is very very much worse.

The Germans have a created a word for this: Smombie aka Smartphone Zombie

is it racist that I'm slightly disappointed they didn't make a classic german 5 words rolled into one job for it?

It's not just people glued to their phones that don't look where they're going. Just lately,I am getting sick to death of people not looking where they are going bumping into me. Then looking at me as if it's my fault! There seems to be a thing particularly in my local big shopping centre, for people either walking backwards while they're talking to someone else,or turning their head in completely the opposite direction to which they are walking. Then acting all surprised when they walk into someone. I mean, really? What do they expect in a busy shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon? That they're going to be the only person there?

People seem to have no spacial awareness nowadays.

Whether it's people with their dogs on extendable leads or parents taking up the whole pavement, no one ever seems to check if someone faster than their pug or toddler is coming up behind them & needs to get through.

I've been thinking about carrying a cycle bell everywhere & pinging it when I'm just behind them......

I don't know what's in style in the UK this winter, but here in Canada, huge hoods, trimmed with faux fur (or real fur, in some cases, I assume) are popular. The hoods are so huge that when they are pulled up. they fall over your face completely obscuring your vision. This, accompanied by cell phone zombies, drives me crazy.

I actually have three coats like this, and when I wear the hoods up, I fold the trim back so I can bloody well see where I'm going.

I feel like Kenny on South Park. See side view of pic.

They make me mad too but what is more annoying are the couples who think their right to occupy space is more than mine.
