How do you cook your scrambled eggs?

Everybody seems to do it differently!

Me I keep it simple- whisk eggs in jug, melt butter in saucepan, stir in eggs, keep stirring until scrambled but still creamy, add salt and pepper, dish up. Yum.

Anyone care to offer their style?

That being said- today I cooked them with pancetta per DHs request and they are pretty damn good.

Much the same as you. Eggs, salt, pepper, butter. Nothing else.

acornsandnuts · 18/02/2018 15:58

Add a spoonful of Greek yogurt to the mix before cooking and only season once cooked.

Scribblegirl · 18/02/2018 15:59

I tend to put a splash of milk in, but otherwise similar to you. DP likes a pinch of tarragon in his.

If you ever want the most indulgent scrambled eggs ever, splash buttermilk in. Once did it after I had some left over and I felt like a queen Grin

DavidPuddy · 18/02/2018 15:59

Same as you.

SneakyGremlins · 18/02/2018 15:59

I add herbs Smile

IncyWincyGrownUp · 18/02/2018 16:00

I hate doing them so microwave them if the children ask. It works, they don’t ask often.

GetYourRocksOff · 18/02/2018 16:00

Same as you but no butter.

MotherofaSurvivor · 18/02/2018 16:04

Tiny drop of cream in If I have any or little splash of full fat milk. I do them in microwave but stop every few seconds and whisk with fork. As they become almost done then I stop every 2 seconds until creamy. I don't add salt & pepper until done though

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 18/02/2018 16:05

I sometimes add crème fraîche. Maybe some chopped parsley.

virtualreality · 18/02/2018 16:07

Non stick frying pan and spatula here, so easy to clean the pan afterwards!

No butter, but a splash of milk, or cream if I have it. Voila two minutes max. So yum.

Season when it's cooked.

DorisDangleberry · 18/02/2018 16:08

Not sure, the butler does it. I'll ask him when he has finished mixing my G&T

Amber0685 · 18/02/2018 16:08

Eggs, whisk, salt and pepper

Elementtree · 18/02/2018 16:08

In the middle of the week, I whisk the motherload of eggs in a bowl, add a splash of milk and nuke for three minutes and then allow the kids to mash the monstrosity on their own toast. Classy.

DramaAlpaca · 18/02/2018 16:08

Same as you OP. I might add a splash of milk if I want them a bit fluffier.

exLtEveDallas · 18/02/2018 16:10

Eggs, milk, butter and in the micro. Salt and Pepper to taste. Can't be arsed faffing with the saucepan cleaning.

Chelsea26 · 18/02/2018 16:13

Bacon, mushroom, spring onion and spinach chopped up and fried off. Whisk 2 eggs with a Tbsp Greek yoghurt and add to pan, cook till creamy, season and scoff

overnightangel · 18/02/2018 16:14

Same as OP but I add half a chicken oxo cube to the mix before frying

FairIsFair · 18/02/2018 16:15

I add a splash of 7-up before whisking, if I have it. Makes them fluffier and with a hint of citrus.

AngeloMysterioso · 18/02/2018 16:18

Oh yes a non stick pan is essential, otherwise you’re basically forfeiting an egg.

And YY to salt & pepper at the end, if you put the salt in too early it sucks out all the moisture. Learned that from a chef Smile

Hate scrambled eggs in the microwave. Yuck. I cook them the Same as you op.

VaguelyAware · 18/02/2018 16:19

Butter (generous), salt & pepper OR a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Cook in a non-stick frying pan. Need to be still soft when tipping out; can't stand rubbery eggs.

brownelephant · 18/02/2018 16:22

in a cup in the microwave, 3x 20 seconds full whack.

1 egg
little milk (a couple of tablespoons)
salt
dried herbs (chives my favourite)

bridgetreilly · 18/02/2018 16:25

I use a fork rather than a whisk.

lookingforthedroids · 18/02/2018 16:26

Don't mind the method, saucepan or microwave, as long as the end result is bouncy. Grin
