Posting here for traffic. We haven't been away on a 'proper' holiday since before DCs who are now 4 and almost 2. Been to centre parcs a couple of times and hired a gite in France but it's all been pretty hard work.
We're talking about going away this summer and looking for an all-inclusive beach holiday in Europe. They all seem so expensive? I'm struggling to find anywhere nice for under £3000. Does that seem about right?
Youngest will be over 2 when we go and we're looking at June so not even school holidays.

We paid £3.5k for al in turkey last year. 5* and school holidays though. It was more than what we would have wanted to spend but we had a hard year. It was great!

ZanyMobster · 14/02/2018 17:32

If you mean just a week I am surprised it's not cheaper in June however when I looked for a week in the summer hols it was almost £5k so not a huge amount different to 2 weeks

We're going AI to Greece for 11 nights in august - £14k for 5 adults and 4 kids so that sounds about right.

Ok I feel slightly better that other people are paying similar. Seems a huge amount of money for a week. I do miss pre-dc life sometimes!

That's a search for any destination in June from those four airports for the four of you all inclusive with minimum four star.

Have to say AI is killing tourism in a lot of resorts.

For me I’d never go Ai, I’d rather either eat out or cook, but i’d Never book via a tour operator or a travel agent.

We tend to villa and fly or gite and tend to avoid brits abroad locations.

Had a great 11 days in the Caribbean for 4 for 2.5k.

Use the local school holidays to help. Ie fly from Scotland in August. We paid about £125 each for flights to Alicante in August for Glasgow same flights from Manchester where £300 each

I’ve found using one way flights on separate bookings with the low cost carriers can save a chunk.

Wow you've all been really helpful, thanks. Been trawling through loveholidays.com which i'd never heard of and theres a few decent options for around £2.5.
DH is being snobby about the whole thing so I may have to work on him next!
