Spending money to sell house

STBX thinks IABU but I'm off to buy stuff to make our house look better ready for it going on the market next month. He thinks it'll sell no matter what and people will see past the clutter etc

I'm only talking a few storage baskets, small cabinet and some plants. Is this not what people do?

Slight update and hijack. We've had an offer on our flat for the asking price. 4 days after we gave it to the estate agents (and they didn't publicize it yet, just told some of their current clients).

So definitely worth the effort of decluttering and putting everything into drawers and cupboards! Now we just need to find everything again...
