City Break...Berlin or Prague

Got my finger on the button for either. Which one would people recommend?

Wow, loads to look at. Is it worth booking anything in advance? We are staying near the zoo, near the Tiergarden. We are going as soon as school is out in July as we've got a big Florida holiday booked for October. I needed something to break up the summer hols. I'm really looking forward to the museums and historical sites. I will have it all planned to make the most of our time.

Berlin is wonderful for a short visit - so many interesting places to visit all reasonably near to each other. One must-see museum is the Pergamon on Museum Island, which has some amazing exhibits including the city walls of ancient Babylon, transported and rebuilt in Berlin. They are absolute beautiful - made of cobalt blue tiles with lions printed on them. Worth going to Berlin for this alone but there are other wonderful museums and galleries in the same area too.

If you are near the zoo, OP, there is a wonderful acquarium right beside it which is well worth a visit.

Budapest! Maybe for next time, it's lovely

Out of those 2 I would choose Prague but only because I used to live in Germany and I've only been to Prague twice, both times briefly so would actually like to explore it a bit.

Berlin is lovely though, I can't see you being disappointed if that's your choice
