Or not speaking, but trying to?
He's 14 months old. He nods yes to everything, but has never said anything. Not a peep. He squeaks and screams, but never points at things and makes a verbal noise. No sign of the usual 'mum, dadadad' kind of noises. He's at nursery part time, they queried his hearing at the beginning of the year, but he has had two hearing tests (first at birth, second 7 weeks ago) and all is absolutely fine.
He has a dummy, but it is only used for bed/naps, so I don't think it's inhibiting his speech. He has posterior tongue tie, but it has never interfered with feeding.
I'm adamant that DS1 was saying words by this point...should I be chasing this up? HV is useless btw. Hasn't bothered turning up since he was 3 days old.
