I realise this won’t be a popular post but, really, why does anyone care what the so-called ‘celebrities’ do? What have these people ever done to merit such interest ( even adoration)? Shouldn’t people actually have accomplished something other than shopping before we take an interest?

Innane, vacuous and deeply dull..........

I don't even know who they are. One had a sex tape maybe?

A friend asked me if I cried at a pregnancy announcement of one of them the other day...😒

liquidrevolution · 06/02/2018 18:57

I think they are all fake and pointless. I loved the French and Saunders sketch at Christmas.

Haven't you got some more interesting thread to start, then, if you care so little about them? You're part of the problem now..

lazyarse123 · 06/02/2018 19:13

I hate them. Unfortunately I think I have seen more of Kim (and Katie price's) bodies than I have my own. There is no escaping them.

Mikklehaha · 06/02/2018 19:35

The question queries the low bar set for achieving ‘celebrity’.

D Mail love them, I think it’s a sad indication of the culture we live in that idolises people for no reason other than their public media profile which all centres around looks and wealth, very depressing

NotACleverName · 06/02/2018 19:53

I'm not really sure how you can hate anyone you've never met.

And there's something deeply ironic about this thread, OP.

Mikklehaha · 06/02/2018 22:28

Butterymuffin You misunderstand ( or deliberately misconstrue ), querying the seemingly insatiable public interest in unmerited celebrity doesn’t add to the existence of such anymore than querying why people might read the Daily Mail adds to the DM’s circulation numbers.

Notaclevername i assume the ‘how can you hate someone you’ve never met’ comment wasn’t aimed at me as I’ve said no such thing but no, my OP is not ironic, not according to my dictionary, anyway. (OED).
